DEVCOM GVSC has invested heavily in high-temperature, high-power dense, and highly efficient power electronics and rotating equipment to facilitate combat platform hybridization. The Zeus inverter family (10kW, 50kW, 200kW, and 500kW inverters all capable of rated operation with 105C coolant and 120C ambient air) is a good example of that investment. In addition, GVSC has developed motor/generators capable of rated operation with 105C coolant. Together, the resultant sub-systems produce power without a large thermal burden on the powertrain cooling system enabling hybrid mobility, engine-off operations, electrification of auxiliary systems, silent mobility, export power, and integration of advanced Warfighting capabilities (energy weapons, radar, missile systems, command and control on-the-move, high power jamming, power beaming, and microgridding). GVSC can work with you to solve thermal/cooling challenges on your platform to meet the operational temperature ranges of extreme environments.
In general, when GVSC has developed hardware, we are prepared to license the capability to industry. We are researchers and develop systems needed to solve operational challenges on platforms. We are not manufacturers. So, if you are a manufacturer and are looking for business opportunities, please contact us regarding licensing opportunities.
