Outreach is very important to our mission at DEVCOM Ground Vehicle Systems Center. Not only do we get to engage with the next generation of minds to help them grow and learn, but they reciprocate with ideation that helps us see future possibilities in creating the next generation of Soldiers.

Pre K-12 STEM

At DEVCOM Ground Vehicle Systems Center, we value the next generation and their potential to help us shape the world. Our engagement with local schools and communities, including many underrepresented communities, allows young people to see the exciting ways we create technologies that enhance and protect our Soldiers.

FIRST Robotics

GVSC is proud to support multiple FIRST Robotics teams, including teams coached and mentored by the engineers and scientists who call GVSC home.

Summer Hire Program

As part of its continuing efforts to recruit and develop the best and brightest talent– the future of Army ground vehicle research and development– GVSC hosts a summer hire program, bringing college-level students on summer internships to Detroit Arsenal.
